is directly situated on the new motorway Malaga
- Marbella and there are a lot of shops and services.
Here is everything you need and the purchase is
eventful.
Those who have enjoyed the night-life of Fuengirola
will never forget it. Here is fun and life (specially
during the summer months) until the early morning,
and after midnight it can happen to be in a traffic
jam, because thousands of people want to visit
the discos to enjoy the spanish life.

Fuengirola
has also an harbour with Restaurants, Bars, Cafés
and small shops, for tourists and residents.
Fuengirola has done a lot of efforts to extension
the Paseo Maritimo. Now you can walk over 12 kilometres,
directly beside the beach. Fuengirola has received
the "Blue Flag" for the beach from the
European Union. Congratulations!
In
the harbour you can select between spanish, english,
german, danish, chinese food and dishes of other
nationalities. Some of the Restaurants reflect
with the headlines also where they come from.
If this is not enough you can go to the "Food-Mile",
situated on the 2nd line of the beach. These Restaurants
are specially prepared for tourists during the
summer months.
Those who want to make boat trips or fishing trips
can find here different possibilities. Dolphing-Tours
are possible and perhaps you have the luck to
have a tunny on your fish hook.
Boats
for rent to drive yourself is not possible, because
Africa is near by and also the drugs, and the
hirer can loose his freedom if the tenant will
be catched. Periodically the Guardia Civil watches
the coastal area in search of people dealing and
smugglers. Warning: If you will be catched with
drugs you´ll stay many years in the prison.
So don´t do this crim, it doesn´t
pay.

Spain
at night is beautiful.
Perhaps because of the light and the mild breeze.But
at nightfall when the lights go on, Spain looks
coloured and brilliant. Over is the hot pale feeling
in the sunlight. Now Spain wakes up, and specially
Fuengirola.
The
children´s kingdom is the merry-go-rounds
which are open until the early morning and all the
summer. Special trampolin-houses for children, dodgem
and old merry-go-rounds are direct on the Paseo
near the beach. In the same direction you will also
find the Bistros and Discos.
This
holiday-town is at the top for the Spaniards, and
that is the unique charm of the city by night. Although
you are not prefering discos, have a look at it.

You
should indeed visit it: The Tuesday´s Market
in Fuengirola. Well-known also in other cities on
the coast, and the traffic on tuesdays is an indication
that the market is open. Handbags close to you,
and then start and walk through the milling crowd...
Here you will find nearly everything, also fruits
and vegetables.
Fresh
Fish and also meat you can buy in the market
hall. From 2pm up you will get mostly nothing more.
Parking is possible in the underground car park.
Fuengirola
offers big shops, everything what you need and you
don´t miss Lidl, Día, Eroski, Dunnes
Stores and a lot of other shops with low prices.
Most of them are directly situated on the motorway
of Fuengirola, and the offer is for really a lots
of tourist-nationalities. But fruits and vegetables
are better to be purchased on the markets or by
smaller traders.
Where
can you live in Fuengirola? There are hotels
and also a lots of apartment hotels. The last years
the town has aimed at first the spanish tourists.
But now there are more foreigners and they expect
first class living. So, many luxury hotels are built
now.
Fuengirola
is a big town and we can give you only a short overview
of the town. Visit this city and the lovable residents
who can already become a little bit nervous at the
beginning of the tourists time. Then it is not tranquil
and you must keep your head. But after a few days
the residents remember themselves to have the control
and to do all things in a friendly way to give the
visitors the good feeling to be integrated in this
city which is so different to others. So be ready
by counter-move to understand the people.
Worthwhile
is e.g. in Fuengirola the "Castillo Sohail",
which is 38m above sea level on a hill near to the
river of Fuengirola (built between 1090 and 1114).
The "open-air"- Art-Gallery is also international
well-known. You can see the different paintings
of good spanish artists.

The culture house "La Casa de la Cultura"
offers cultural events and guids.
In
Los Boliches will be celebrated yearly the "Fiesta
de la Carmen" , Virgin and Patron Saint of
the Boliches.
In
the first two weeks of October is the FESTIVAL
of "la Señora del Rosario". This
is the most important event of the city which
is well known,not only in Spain. With pilgrimage,
Flamenco, Processions, Horse and Carriage Processions,
Shows, Bullfights and others.

Those
who have enough from the sunbathing can exit and
enjoy the country and the sensational landscapes
in the direction to Alhaurín and Mijas. Here
you will see the best colours in fantastic compositions.
The hot summers with its drought set the tone of
the landscapes, because waiting of the rain, and
the light of the setting sun makes the blade of
