Sotogrande is situated between Gibraltar and Marbella. There is no history of Sotogrande, because it exists only approx. 40 years. But since the golf courses are built and good guarded Urbanisations in the harbour and around, you will find more and more business people and wealthy pensioners. Sotogrande is well-known as a "european golf centre", with the start in 1999 of the World Golf Championship. "Sotogrande" offers a very good "sport-infrastructure" in Europe: The Polo-centre of Spain, a Fitness-Studio, two Beach-Clubs, the Royal Sail Club, the Surf School, Tennis- and Paddle-Tennis-Centre, the beaches, and naturally the Yacht Harbour. Also a Casino is situated near by.

The harbour with the beautiful houses and nice designed gardens and green areas convey a special flair. Here it is good place to live and a "little" yacht should also exist. It´s a pity that in the winter is not much life in Sotogrande. So in the summer you also can find complete empty beaches. Those, who are in search for rest will be very happy here.

Sotogrande has because of the near by town San Roque has good public transportation. No matter, if you come with the car or the bus or the train.
